The Grievery is dedicated to fostering a community where individuals can support each other through life's challenges with care and compassion. We emphasize grief tending as an essential human initiation and experience – and a skill to be developed.
Our mission is to create a supportive environment where everyone can practice feeling seen and heard through sharing, listening and being present to stories of life and loss.
Western culture often overlooks or dismisses grief all-together. We aren’t taught how to be with our own grief, never mind that of another. But grief happens! Recognizing and acknowledging grief is essential for personal and organizational wellbeing. By creating space to practice having brave conversations, we start to create a culture of collective wellbeing and skillful connection.
We provide virtual and in-person gatherings and workshops for folks to skillfully embrace grief with courage, compassion, and curiosity.
Virtual Group Support
Our guided community gatherings invite you to participate in the practice of tending to grief – sharing and bearing witness to each other's experiences.
In-person or Virtual Trainings
Our @Work grief-inclusive workshops offer trainings where we equip leaders and teams with tools to connect meaningfully and skillfully in the face of loss, change, and transition.
